We have a fully equipped radio workshop and our in house technician has over 25 years experience in the radio communications industry.

We repair most makes and models of UHF radios both in vehicle type and hand helds (for example GME Electrophone, Uniden, Icom, Vertex, Philips,  Pearce Simpson and Sawtron) with the exception of some generic brands where parts and service information is not readily available. We can also program radios for commercial customers, brands include GME, Vertex and Benelec.

Our turnaround time is generally 48-72 hours from when it arrives (subject to parts availability)

If your heading away on holidays or buying a second hand radio or just need your radio tested after many years of service , we can also do pre-holiday, pre-purchase and general checks to ensure you are not going to have any communications problems. Flat pricing for full radio check and report is just $22 plus return post. (If your radio requires repair the $22 comes off the repair bill)

Sorry, We don’t repair HF radios, GPS Navigation, Cordless and mobile phones, Tait or Motorola Two way radios.

Repairs are always subject to parts availability which can be an issue with older radios, we do however still keep some older parts in stock for some radios that go back over 15-20 years.

You must include with your repair the following information;

·      Your full name

·      Address for posting back to you

·      Daytime contact phone number

·      Either fax or email details

·      A full description of the fault or service required to the radio

·      If it’s a hand held radio please include battery and charger

·      If it’s a vehicle radio please include microphone

Once your repair arrives we will check it and quote it and confirm it by email or fax and include any relevant questions we need to ask regarding the fault or issue. We will advise if there will be a delay subject to parts availability.

Once you accept the quote we will repair the radio, usually within 48 hours and contact you to organise payment and return post.

What does it cost ?,

·      Generally about 80% of repairs can be done within the $60 to $120 range depending on the fault.

·      Quotes are free however return post is the responsibility of the customer.

·      We offer a flat return post cost of $12.90 Australia wide for radios that fit into a 3kg type satchel. (includes registration for tracking)
